it's not there? If you're like me, I have my hand
on
the steering wheel right in front of the speedometer
most
of the time!

Maybe you have an older C5, C4 or
earlier Vette without
Heads Up Display?? You can upgrade the early C5 with factory
parts but it will cost you A LOT of $$$.

We
now offer an incredible and cheap solution
to add HUD to ANY
car, truck, or vehicle!!
Our new GPS driven HUD unit is nothing
short of amazing!
Uses 20+ satellites at any given
time to give you EXACT SPEED
along with very fast reaction time (unlike many navigation speed
indicators like Tom Tom or Magellin)
Also shows a compass and has an over-speed
alert you can set if you choose.
It also has a Bluetooth built in
so it will function as a GPS antenna for your Palm Pilot or laptop
with mapping software that offers GPS if you have a
GPS antenna.
This unit has a built in battery
as well, so it will work without the power
cable plugged in for quite a while.
(I've used mine all day without power before)
The base of the unit has a rubber-covered
magnet that keeps it firmly
planted in it's bracket, but allows for quick & easy removing
when
you want to take it with out or put it in the glove box.
It can be powered off, however, it
has a standy-by to quickly
turn the display on and off as well. I have only turned
mine off once. Most of our customers leave it 'on' all the time
with
no battery drain or starting issues - even
after a few days!

/ option would be if you choose to want the unit 'hard-wired' into
the vehicle. The cigarette lighter plug has a voltage reducer in
it, so you can't just cut it off and wire it to 12v. You can order
the optional 12v outlet port below with the unit. Simply connect
the port to your fuse box and mount it hidden under your dash to
plug your HUD unit into.

In this quick video below, you can see the vehicle was inside
of a garage with limited
access to satellite reception - even in the rain with dark cloud
cover everywhere.
Depending on how long it has been out of signal or turned off,
it may take a minute or two to
get a good number of satellite signals. Most customers leave it
on all the time,
with constant 12v power. I've left it on for days without driving
and no starting or battery issues.
I have yet to have it not be accurate on normal driving speeds
almost immediately
even when leaving the garage like below:
Will get better video shot when it's not raining and I can get
a little speed.
